CatCon 2026

We visited Vilanova i la Geltrú to attend this year’s CATCON!

LUEE Animació participated in this year’s CatCon in a panel titled “How the Valentina de Montblanc series was created”, sharing the stage with the author Míriam Bonastre and moderated by Roxana Canudas (@rinandcat). The session brought the audience closer to the process of transforming the comic into an animated series and showed the creative and technical challenges that this production entailed.

Attendees were able to learn firsthand what meant to transfer Míriam Bonastre’s visual universe to the screen, maintaining the essence of the comic and giving life to the characters and the imagination of Catalan legends.

LUEE Animació’s participation in CatCon highlighted the role of Catalan animation studios in the creation of quality original content and generated a meeting space between professionals and fans of fantasy, comics and audiovisual. The panel highlighted the interest around “Valentina de Montblanc” both for its artistic side and for its value as a reference production within animation made in the country.
