Gran! – New season

The 3rd season of “GRAN!” is now available in 3Cat: Art and animation once again bear the stamp of LUEE!

Pop culture doesn’t stop, and neither do we! We are happy to announce that the third season of “GRAN!” has already started on the 3Cat platform, the cultural program of fast-paced short capsules that reviews the greatest hits of literature, cinema, comics and music.

And why does it make us so excited? Because, once again, all the art design, graphics and animation of “GRAN!” have been cooked entirely in the drawing boards of LUEE Animación!

The challenge of bringing pop culture to visual life

If you’ve seen the show, you’ll know that it has a frenetic pace, fun and very visual. The great challenge for the LUEE team has been to take cultural concepts as diverse as the cult comic “Watchmen“, the horror of “[REC]“, the literature of Montserrat Roig or the music of Quimi Portet, and find a unique graphic identity for each of them.

Through dynamic animations, digital collages, careful transitions and very powerful graphics, we manage to make each 5-minute pill an aesthetic experience almost as powerful as the work it talks about.

Digital craftsmanship against the clock: Behind each chapter there are hours of conceptualization to adapt our animation style to the essence of each author. Making classics of literature or cinema seem trendy, vibrant and attractive for the new screens is our specialty.

What to expect in Season 3?

In the new episodes, which are already available, the team has had to dance with all kinds of references. Get ready to see how LUEE’s art travels from the dark universe of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein to Catalan domestic pop, passing through jewels of our literature such as Eva Baltasar’s Permagel.
