Next stop: LUEE Animació arrives at the Saló del Còmic de Barcelona to talk about “Valentina de Montblanc“!
It seems that good news never come alone. After the great reception of Valentina de Montblanc on the 3Cat platform, we are very happy to announce that we have been officially invited to the Saló del Cómic de Barcelona!
For us it is a golden opportunity to come out of the studio, share space with cartoon lovers and explain first hand how we lived the adventure of creating the first anime 100% in Catalan.
An outstanding round table: From paper to screen
We will participate in a conversation where we will go in detail on the entire creative process. And we will not be alone; we will be on stage with the creator and illustrator Míriam Bonastre, our director Àlex Roca and part of the LUEE Animació team that has made it possible to transfer this universe to the screen.
During the session we will talk about:
- The challenge of adaptation: How we worked side by side with Míriam to maintain her international artistic essence (Hooky, Marionetta) and merge it with the traditional anime aesthetic.
- Animation with identity: The secrets behind the creation of creatures from our mythology, from the first sketch to the final moving result.
- Anecdotes from the studio: The real day-to-day of a production as demanding as it is pioneering in our country (with its moments of fury, coffees and many hours of rendering).
Prepare your questions: At the end of the panel we will be open to questions so you can ask us everything you want to know about the animation processes, the software we use or how to make your way in today’s industry.
