Synopsis:
Valentina de Montblanc is a story of adventure and fantasy that blends the dynamism of anime aesthetics with the richness of Catalan legends. Based on the visual universe of illustrator Míriam Bonastre Tur, the series follows Valentina, a young princess in a reimagined Montblanc, full of magic, fantastic creatures and ancestral mysteries. Together with her friends, she will have to break with established molds and protect the kingdom from a dark threat that is beginning to awaken from oblivion.

The challenge:
Beyond its artistic value, this production sets a milestone in Catalan audiovisual: it is the first anime aesthetic series created and produced entirely in Catalonia.

At Luee Animació we took on the challenge of taking the brush strokes of Míriam Bonastre’s comic to the screen, optimizing on every step of the process. Using a proprietary production methodology, finding balance between visual craftsmanship and digital efficiency, a compact team of just seven professionals managed to develop the entire first season (six episodes) in a record time of one year. The series premiered with the help of the CCMA, airing simultaneously on the 3Cat platform, the SX3 YouTube channel and conventional television.
